Come and join our amazing team in the position of Service Manager at our beautiful facility located in Balwyn. Recently established for NDIS participants we provide short-, medium- and long-term accommodation. 

Your new company:

Myxa is a registered NDIS Service provider assisting people with disability, their family, and carers. We deliver individually tailored services to maximise participant choice and control. We aim to support our participants to empower them to achieve their goals and live a full life.

Your new role

As the Accommodation Manager you will lead and support the daily operations of our recently established and growing accommodation facility. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Oversee the management of our accommodation facility to ensure we are providing high-quality services that are compliant with organisational and NDIS standards and practices
  • Oversee the management of support services to ensure delivery is in accordance with the participants care plan
  • Meet with current and potential participants, their families and the participants care team regarding support and accommodation services
  • Build a rapport with participants, their families and the participants care team to promote positive outcomes
  • Manage and oversee the intake process of new participants into services
  • Promote and manage vacancies within our accommodation facility
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures which enhance the quality of services being provided
  • Support the management team with the implementation of strategic business planning
  • Ensure facility documentation is regularly reviewed and meets compliance requirements
  • Provide direction and guidance to support staff around service matters including complex issues, risk management and incident response
  • Oversee the management of any reported incidents and Workplace Health and Safety issues
  • Conduct performance reviews for staff reporting directly to you
  • General administration duties 
  • Participate as required in staff meetings, supervision and training sessions
Key Selection Criteria
  • Relevant qualification 
  • Previous experience in a comparable role within an accommodation setting
  • Experience coordinating and maintaining support services for NDIS participants
  • Strong understanding and experience in delivering services according to NDIS Practice Standards
  • Ability to lead and support a team of support staff
  • Previous business development and/or project management experience within the disability sector would be highly desirable
  • Ability to communicate and appropriately respond to the needs of people with disability
  • A thorough understanding of the complex needs of people living with disability 
  • Knowledge of NDIS funding 
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate on all levels
