We have a simple process, you or your support network have a conversation with one of our staff members to discuss your needs to see if the Manor would be a good fit. From there we recommend all potential Myxa Manor residents, their support networks such as allied health professionals, support coordinators and family and friends undertake a tour. We love any excuse to showcase all the amazing spaces and community feel that Manor offers. Myxa Manor is a registered NDIS service provider. To be able to access any of the Myxa services including staying at Myxa Manor, you need to have the appropriately approved NDIS funding in your plan. Approved funding may include:

  • Short-term accommodation (up to 28 days – this can be taken in one stay or multiple short stays up to a total of 28 days)
  • Medium-term accommodation (up to 90 days)
  • Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Myxa will work with you to determine which ratio and length of stay meets your needs in line with your funding. Short-term accommodation can be a one off or regular stays.

Myxa Manor is all about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels like a real home. There are often freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or brownies on offer to share, that have been whipped up by staff or other residents.

Residents love catching up and having a yarn (chat) in the sunny courtyard, and Friday nights are legendary for group takeout feasts – think pizza or fish and chip nights followed by a movie in home theatre room.

The best part? You’ll find residents forming close friendships, hanging out together and sharing stories over a sneaky treat from the ever-tempting lolly bowl in reception. Laughter truly is the best medicine here, and don’t be surprised if friendly competition heats up during our legendary pool tournaments – bragging rights are on the line! We can’t wait to welcome you and make Myxa Manor your new home.

We provide a range of activities tailored to individual interests, including arts and crafts, social events, and outings into the local community. We are conveniently located walking distance to Balwyn cinema, local shops and cafes, parks and local sporting and leisure clubs.

Myxa Manor is the resident’s home and they choose how often they communicate and see their family and friends. The Manor has ample communal spaces for visitors such as a large dining area, courtyard with table and chairs and multiple seating areas if participants desire to meet guests outside their individual apartments.

We absolutely love giving tours to prospective participants, their support coordinators and family and friends. Each tour is personalised for the potential resident, conducted by our experienced staff and last about an hour at a time that suits you.

  • We will discuss how we provide individualised support to our new Myxa Manor resident (hopefully)
