Frequently Asked Questions

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that funds supports for people with permanent and significant disabilities.

At Myxa, we deliver a range of NDIS-funded services including Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Participation, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and Positive Behaviour Support.

Our services are tailored to each participant’s needs, whether under standard, high-intensity, or complex behaviour support levels. This ensures that every person receives the right level of assistance, from managing daily living tasks to supporting complex physical or behavioural needs, in a safe, person-centred way.

When you first contact Myxa, our team will ask for some key information to help us understand your situation and the type of supports you’re looking for.

This usually includes:
Your support needs – an overview of the assistance you require in daily living, including any physical, health, or behavioural considerations
Your location and preferences – where you would like services delivered, and the preferred times or level of support
Your NDIS goals – what you hope to achieve through your plan, so we can align our services to support those outcomes
Your NDIS funding details – the types of supports and budgets that are included in your approved plan

The information you share helps us determine how Myxa can best provide the supports funded in your plan. Where appropriate, and with your consent, we may also work with your support coordinator, guardian, or allied health professionals to ensure a consistent approach to your care.

Myxa provides a comprehensive range of NDIS-funded supports designed to meet different levels of need and promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing.
