Your support. Your choices. Your life.
This page is for you. It explains who we are, what we do, and how we support you. We explain your rights in clear, simple words.
Myxa is an NDIS disability support provider. We support people to live their lives as independently as possible, in a way that feels right for them. Our role is to walk alongside you and support the life you want to live.
Our trained support workers can support you with personal routines, practical support at home, and day-to-day help in the community.
That support is built around what matters to you, how you want your day to work, and what helps you feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
Showering and dressing
Meal preparation and mealtime support
Cleaning and household tasks
Going out in the community
Spending time on things you enjoy
Building daily living skills
Staying safe and well at home
We support people with different support needs, including:
We provide support across Melbourne, Bendigo, Geelong and Regional Victoria.
Your support should support you to live the life you want.
Choice and control means you make the decisions about your own life.
When you are supported by Myxa, you have the right to choose your preferred support team, how you want things done at home, your daily routines and how you spend your time, the activities you enjoy and want to take part in, what goals you want to work towards, and how you communicate and how information is shared with you.
You can tell us what you like, what you do not like, and what you want to change. We respect your choices and adjust your support wherever we can.

Some people have a guardian or someone who supports them to make decisions. If you have a guardian, they may support you to make some decisions. We work with them to understand your needs. We still listen to you and respect your preferences. We involve you in decisions as much as possible.
Your voice still matters.
You can change your mind about your support at any time. If something is not working, tell your support worker, tell the House Supervisor or management team, or tell your Support Coordinator. We will work with you to find a better solution.
When you are supported by Myxa, you are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. Your rights come first in everything we do. These rights are based on the NDIS Practice Standards.
This means you are listened to, you are involved in all decisions about your support, you choose how things are done, you can say yes or no, and you can choose what works best for you.
Your support is built around your goals, your routines, and your choices.
This means your background, identity, and beliefs are valued. You can practise your culture and traditions. Your preferences about food, routines, and communication are respected. We match your support team to your comfort and needs wherever possible.
You deserve to feel accepted for who you are.
This means your personal information is kept private. Staff knock and wait before entering your room. Your personal space and boundaries are respected. Conversations about you are confidential. You are informed about what information is collected and why.
Your dignity matters.
This includes information explained in a way that makes sense to you, taking the time you need to decide, understanding risks in a clear and simple way, choosing what feels right for you, choosing your preferred support team, directing your own routines and activities, and having an advocate if you want one.
You lead the way and we walk alongside you.
This means your home is safe and well maintained. Staff are trained to keep you safe. You are protected from abuse, neglect, or discrimination. Any concerns are taken seriously and acted on. You are never mistreated or made to feel unsafe.
Your safety is our priority.
You can talk to your support worker, talk to the House Supervisor or Manager, contact Myxa head office, talk to your Support Coordinator, or contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
You will not get in trouble for speaking up. Your feedback helps us improve.
When you start with Myxa, we create a support plan together. Your support plan includes your goals, your preferences, your routines, health information (if relevant), how you communicate, and what to do if there is a problem. You are involved in creating your plan. We review it regularly and update it when things change.
Support workers are the people who support you each day. We match workers to you based on experience, personality, and your preferences. You will have a consistent team of workers, not different people every shift. If you are not happy with a worker, you can tell us and we will work with you to find a better match.
If you live in a Myxa home, you have a House Supervisor. They lead the team that supports you, make sure your support plan is followed, check in with you regularly, and are someone you can talk to about anything.
If something goes wrong, we want to know. You can tell your support worker, your House Supervisor, or contact Myxa directly. We take all concerns seriously and work to fix problems quickly. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time.

If you want to know more about Myxa, or if you want to talk about your support, get in touch. You do not need a Support Coordinator to contact us directly.
